Your Financial Privacy at Bank of the Bluegrass & Trust Co. is important to us; therefore we are providing you this notice to help you feel comfortable with the protective way in which we handle your non-public personal information.

We are pleased to inform you that since we do not share your information with anyone except in support of our own products & services, there is no “sharing” program to OPT OUT of.  We do not expect to change our policy on this issue.  Please take comfort in knowing that if we ever did change our policy we would give you the opportunity to OPT OUT.

By law, we are required to inform you that during the normal course of business, we collect nonpublic personal information from you, our customers, in order to fulfill your requests for service(s).  Examples of this information include income, net worth, social security number and address.  This information is obtained from the following sources:

• applications or other forms we receive from you;
• transactions with us or others; and
• consumer reporting agencies.

We do not disclose any of this nonpublic personal information about you to anyone, except as permitted or required by law - such as sending information returns to the Internal Revenue Service, responding to subpoenas or providing information to consumer reporting agencies: i.e. credit bureaus.

We may disclose all the information we collect, as described above, to companies that perform marketing services for Bank of the Bluegrass products & services.  Please note that we have contractual agreements with these companies that require them to maintain the same level of privacy that we do.

To go a step further, if you decide to close your account(s) or become an inactive customer, we will continue to adhere to our privacy policy and practices as described in this notice for your information’s continued protection. 

Finally, we even restrict access to your personal and account information to only those employees of ours who need to access your information to provide our products or services to you.  We also maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information.
