Jerry M. Johnson is Senior Vice President and Director of the Bank of the Bluegrass & Trust Co. Wealth Management Department. Jerry is a recognized leader in the Lexington banking community, having over 20 years of experience in the field of Trust administration and investing for high net-worth clients. Before coming to the Bank of the Bluegrass in May 2010, Jerry Served in senior management positions in the Wealth Management Divisions of two super-regional banks where he was responsible for investment and Trust portfolios in excess of $300 Million.
Jerry holds his Undergraduate Degree in Finance and a Masters Degree in Business from Morehead State University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He has continued his professional education throughout his career, and he is a graduate of the American Bankers Association National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. Jerry is a Registered General Securities Representative (Series 7), a Registered Securities Agent and Investment Advisor (Series 66), and he holds his Kentucky Life and Health insurance license. He holds the designation of Accredited Wealth Management Advisor from the College of Financial Planning.

W. Kelly Montgomery, AIF® is Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager with the Bank of the Bluegrass & Trust Co. Wealth Management Department. Kelly’s primary responsibilities include investment management of client portfolios, client relationship building, and support of new business efforts. With over twenty-five years of experience in the investments industry, Kelly has developed the knowledge and skills to maintain and build wealth for clients in a very professional and advanced manner. Prior to joining the Bank of the Bluegrass, Kelly spent the previous eight years as Senior Portfolio Manager in Columbus, Ohio for the Private Bank Division of a large Midwestern bank managing approximately $500 million in assets.
Furthermore, he has enhanced his professional development by attaining two professional designations which further indicate his dedication to his craft. He holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) designation, issued by the Center for Fiduciary Studies in association with the Center for Executive Education at the Graduate School of Business within the University of Pittsburgh. He has also received the Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor (APMA®) designation from the College for Financial Planning.
A native of Kentucky, Kelly graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with Honors. He attended EKU on an academic scholarship.

Jeff Schriefer is Vice-President and Senior Wealth Advisor. Jeff has worked in banking and financial services since 1998 and focuses his efforts on providing comprehensive financial planning, portfolio management, retirement income planning, estate planning, philanthropic planning and trust administration for individuals, families, nonprofits and institutional clients. Jeff has been a part of the Lexington community since 1979, and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky and his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Morehead State University. Jeff is also a graduate of Cannon Financial Institute at Boston University where he earned the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation.
Jeff also focuses on planned giving where he consults with local non-profits on effective planned giving strategies, including current and future gifting, which helps them to continue to fulfill their mission. Jeff is a member of the investment committee and trust committee, is a Board member for Jarrett’s Joy Cart and Catholic Charities and is President of Conquest Lexington Boys Club. Jeff is also a member of the Central Kentucky Planned Giving Council.
